Why do we recommend Spark Liquid?
During times of heat stress (e.g. birds have their wings out, are mouth-breathing and are down on the ground) birds are undergoing changes in their body chemistry. Their blood pH is altering, their sodium and potassium levels are out of kilter and their fluid balance is incorrect. While we struggle to control the temperature, we must also help the birds return to normal as soon as possible – this is why we use electrolytes!
When we are talking about electrolytes - it is balance that is key. Not only do all body cells require electrolytes to function correctly, they require certain amounts of each type of electrolyte.
Along with the supplementation of electrolytes, Vetafarm Spark Liquid also includes vital carbohydrates that will greatly improve the recovery from stress, travelling, illness, and, of course, heat.

Vetafarm Calcivet Calcium & Vitamin D3 Supplement for Birds 250ml
Calcium is a vital nutrient needed for all stages of breeding and the development of young chicks. Calcivet provides birds with a highly digestible form of liquid calcium and vitamin D3, needed for shell formation, laying and bone development. This supplement is essential in any serious breeders feeding regime.
Symptoms of calcium deficiency include: Dystocia/Egg Binding, soft or thin shelled eggs, flight issues, lack of coordination during flight, legs spread further apart, leg weakness, seizures, drooping wings and biting/aggression.
Calcivet has been formulated to supplement the diet of birds where calcium and Vitamin D3 may be low. It will also support breeding birds and their young with essential calcium. Vitamin D3 maximises calcium absorption in the gut.
Calcium supports shell formation and the normal development of bones in young birds. Regular use of Calcivet in seed eating birds will ensure adequate calcium for strong bones, muscle formation and general wellbeing.
Directions:
Water: Add 5mL per 250mL of drinking water (1 tsp per cup). Use as the sole source of water and prepare fresh solution daily.
Seed: Pour 5mL over 1 cup soaked seed
Direct dose: 0.2mL (4 drops) per 100g body weight
