Vetsense Kilverm Poultry Wormer 125ml
Kilverm is effective against sensitive strains of the following parasites in poultry:
Large Roundworms (Ascaridia galli)
Caucal Worm (Heterakis gallinae)
Hairworm (Capillaria spp.)
The above are the most important intestinal worms in fowls, turkey and other birds.
ACTIVE CONSTITUENTES: 14 g/L LEVAMISOLE (equivalent to 16.5g/L LEVAMISOLE HYDROCHLORIDE)
Directions for POULTRY
Contraindication: This product is contraindicated in extremely hot weather.
Administration: Mix with clean drinking water. For maximum efficiency it must be consumed in the shortest time possible. Withhold water from birds 2 hours before nightfall. The required amount of medicated water is then made available so that the birds can start drinking it at daylight. Replace with clean water after 8 hours or when medication is consumed.
Birds under continuous light should be treated by withholding water for 2 hours then giving medicated water as above.
Dose Rate For Poultry:
Dilute 10mL of VETSENSE KILVERM in 200mL of water for each 6kg live weight. (1.75 mL of VETSENSE KILVERM in 35mL of water per 1kg live weight) Mix 40mL/litre water for 1 day. Repeat 2 weeks later.
WITHHOLDING PERIODS
POULTRY MEAT: DO NOT USE less than 7 days before slaughter for human consumption.
POULTRY EGGS: NIL
Avitrol Plus 20mg Bird Worming Tablets - 100 Pack
A convenient and broad spectrum bird wormer which controls thread, caecal, round, gape, gizzard and important tape worms in caged birds. Avitrol tablets provide a secure method of dosing individual birds. Available in 100 tablet bottles.
COMPOSITION: Levamisole hydrochloride 20mg, Praziquantel 4mg
INDICATIONS: Threadworm (Capillaria sp.), caecal worm (Heterakis sp.), roundworm (Ascaridia sp.), gape worm (Syngamus sp.), gizzard worm (Acuaria sp.) and tapeworm (Raillietina sp.) in caged birds over 250g in bodyweight.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Administration to species or strains of birds known to be sensitive to the effects of levamisole.
PRECAUTIONS: Parrots appear to be less tolerant than pigeons to levamisole. Do not dose in extremely hot, dry weather or treat stressed birds, or birds that are feeding young. Treatment during the breeding season or racing pigeons is not recommended. Vomiting may occur (see Adverse Reactions). To reduce the likelihood of vomiting, do not handle birds for at least ten minutes after treatment. If worm problems persist consult a veterinarian.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Administer orally directly into the throat at the rate of Levamisole hydrochloride 40mg/Kg bodyweight and Praziquantel 8mg/Kg bodyweight, as follows:
250 to500g bodyweight. ½ tablet.
500 to 750g body weight 1 tablet.
750g to 1Kg bodyweight. 1½ tablets.
Do not feed Birds for 24 hours before or three hours after treatment. All birds in the same loft or cage should be treated and the loft or cage cleaned and disinfected three days after treatment.
